The Missionary Quarantine Life

If I am being completely honest, this has been the hardest part of my mission. The main reason being that as a missionary I have been called to serve the people here in the Texas Houston South Mission. Being confined to our apartment has been such a struggle not being able to find, teach, visit and serve the amazing people here in Houston, I love them so much

I have learned so much about myself as well as the gospel during the extra time I have had to study. I will share more in a future email.

I am so thankful that I have a great companion, Elder Flenders. We have been getting along great. He has a lot of patience which I am thankful for. He has passion for playing the guitar and singing which I have enjoyed.

One cool thing is that I have been asked to help lead a special project for our mission using Facebook and social media for missionary work. For those that know me, anything technology I am all about so I am extremely grateful for President Guthrie and the Lord for allowing me to work on this.

Although it has been difficult to see many of my good friends return early from their missions because of COVID-19, I am thankful for the opportunity to be out here on my mission. I may not know all the reasons why this is happening right now but I do have faith in God.

Thank you to those who have reached out. I love getting emails from people as it helps me reflect upon the people that are praying for me.

Love, Elder Saunders
